Endowment

A pool of donated money, usually held by a university, that funds the institution over the long term.

Endowments invest for perpetuity and hold large allocations to private funds. Many have dedicated teams that follow managers for years before committing.

Why it matters when you raise
Endowments reward patience. A steady stream of updates between raises keeps you on their radar.
